CSY Designs' Portfolio

This personal site was built by Corrinne both to hone her web design skills, and from a deep love of her dog. She created a site style she felt matched his personality, and then wrote all the content as if he had done it. The site has a guest book, and an installation of Gallery, with several albums dedicated to photos of Sir Ranulf. Ranulf is now one of the few dogs that has his own web sites, and is quite pleased to have visitors.
The Main Page

This site uses a simple style based on the warm toned gradient used as the background. The background was created by making a custom gradient, which was used to make an image taller than the actual page would be, then the image was cropped to the full height one pixel wide. Using the narrow slice, and allowing it to tile, allows the pages to load much quicker than if a full sized image was used. Matching buttons, a banner, and the corner graphic were all made to complete the style.
The Tell A Friend Pop Up Window

Clicking on the Tell A Friend button opens this pop up widow. The window uses it’s own style sheet, edited to match the site style. We created this custom java script to require minimal configuration when installed. The URL, and subject line are automatically inserted into the email it generates, and is secure from spamming abuse. Having the script use a style sheet, allows us to match the window to any site style we create.

The Gallery

This site uses our standard installation of Gallery. The application has been modified to provide the exit link, for a Tell A Friend script, and an Invite script. The style sheets for the application, and the scripts have also been edited to match the site style.
