MyWeb20 is a subdomain based web community built to provide a place where our family and friends could exchange photos without the advertisements, and other hassles involved with using existing commercial sites. We designed the main site to clearly convey the concept, provide support, and information, while ensuring that everything was easily accessible to the large proportion of family members having little, or no net experience.
The site uses several php applications, forms, and scripts to accomplish the many functions required by it’s design. It uses a php based help desk, which sends a text message to the site administrators when a ticket is opened. There are extensive support documents, including detailed how to procedures for the users, FAQs, and walkthroughs. The site also provides a portal for users to access their included e-mail accounts via a selection of webmail interfaces.
